It’s almost Valentine’s Day! Who would have thought a holiday celebrating love would be religiously controversial, but apparently it is. I will put it right out there, this Muslim celebrates Valentine’s Day (and parts of Christmas). Not in a dramatic all out way, but as an opportunity to show those close to me how much I love them. To be very honest, it’s a good opportunity for us to reflect upon how much we love and are loved by our Creator. How could Muslims not be okay with that?
My Kind of Love
As a wife, mother of three, and daughter to a widowed mom, my heart is full of love for my family. That love is usually expressed though making or doing things for them, but I like buying small gifts for them as well on Valentine’s Day. If you need gift ideas, check out my little gift guide below.

Galentine’s Day: Ladies Celebrating Ladies
I was a huge fan of Parks and Recreation, and so I am obviously a big fan of Leslie’s Galentine’s Day. As I have grown older I have found the love and support of the women in my life really nourishes my soul. Outfit and gift ideas for the lovely ladies in your life below. Sadly I couldn’t find a similar dress for you. I’ll keep looking!

What to Wear on Valentine’s Day
Like I said, I have never been one to make a huge deal out of the holiday. My husband and I don’t go out for dinner and his gift to me is usually some sort of chocolate he has taken a bite of before giving it to me. Being around kids gets me kind of festive so I have added a few valentine’s day pieces to my wardrobe. This heart sweater is perfect for me. It’s in my favorite colors and doesn’t scream Valentine’s Day.

At my age, and with three kids around the house, my pajama choices are pretty tame. I think these are the perfect mom Valentine’s Day PJ’s. These particular ones are sold out, but I linked similar ones below.
How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day? I’ll be lounging in these pajamas waiting for my husband to bring home some half eaten chocolate!
I HAVE FOUND YOUR BLOG AND I’M HAPPY I DID I AM JEWISH AND BELIEVE IF ALL OF US CUT THROUGH THE STUPID HATE WE WILL FIND WE ARE OF THE SAME FAMILY AND HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON IT IS BEAUTIFUL.

I agree with you 100%. I hope like minded people such as ourselves can find ways to connect and show the world there is more that binds us than divides us.
