Great accessories can really tie your look together, especially when you wear simple items such as the ones in my previous posts. These classic accessories are also helpful for women who don’t necessarily have the time to think through what will go with what they are wearing because these will go with basically everything.
There are many things I have inherited from my mom, one of them is my love of jewelry. She’s the type to never leave the house without something in her ears, so I have adopted similar habits. Another thing I have learned from my mom is to invest in some classic pieces. If you don’t want to spend the money on the real deal, go for artificial. Nobody will ever know.
I don’t know if it’s because I have curly hair, but I rarely find myself leaving my hair all down. It’s either half back, a bobby pin on the side, or in a pony tail. To make it a little more exciting, I like to use fun hair accessories. A nice headband really distracts from the two day old hair pulled back into a bun.
Sunglasses are a necessity when living in Houston. Despite wearing them day in and day out, I find sunglass shopping to be difficult. I love some of the trendier styles out there: cat eyes, round, etc., but somehow I don’t find they suit my face. While I would love to be on trend all the time, sometimes I just have to do what works for me. And what works for me are medium sized brown sunglasses. I only own one pair and I wear them all the time.
So this is the last of my basic posts. Hopefully they served as inspiration to create a good foundation for your wardrobe. If there’s something else you would like to see, leave a comment!
