I’ll be honest, I was not a big Valentine’s Day person. As a Muslim girl not allowed to have a boyfriend growing up, there’s not much to look forward to. Once I met my husband he was very direct and said the two were too close together so I had to choose: Valentine’s Day or my birthday. Of course I chose my birthday. As I’ve grown older my definition of love has expanded beyond just romantic love and I’m really looking forward to celebrating the day, wearing one of these modest Valentine’s Day outfits, of course.
Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit
I call this my PTO mom volunteering for the class party Valentine’s Day outfit. I actually bought this sweater last Valentine’s Day, and jeans are a staple I’ve had in my closet for a while. Same with the earrings. But the shoes (affiliate link) are new, and I thought the rose color was perfect for Valentine’s Day. Classic Red Valentine’s Day Outfit
Nothing says (more like screams) Valentine’s than classic red. I incorporated red into a few pieces for effect, but even if you just add one of these to your look on Valentine’s Day, you can check the box. Coat and bag have been in my closet for 10 years (!), jeans and belt are also old. Shirt is vintage Kate Spade. Shoes are new though! Similar items for outfit linked below (affiliate links).

Fun Valentine’s Day Outfit
This outfit was built around the shoes. I found them on clearance at Nordstrom Rack and the little girl in me just gravitated towards them. I have affiliate links for lots of other glittery shoes as well as links for similar outfit items below.

Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or use February 14 as a day to show yourself some love with self care, find a way to celebrate the day! Dressing up in one of these modest Valentine’s Day outfits is a good start.
