It’s summer, we have a pool, we have young kids, so that means I have to be in the pool too. My kids were on the swim team earlier this summer and have learned to swim to the point that it doesn’t cause me anxiety. But I still have to be ready to hop in. My swim getup isn’t all that different than last year, just slightly updated. Here are some modest swimwear ideas for those of you who need them for a summer vacation you’re squeezing in before school starts or just to wear around the pool.
A Long Sleeve Rash Guard
This is my go to swim outfit: a rash guard, leggings, and a swim skirt. This summer I was lucky enough to find actual swim leggings at Athleta. Until now I had been wearing workout leggings. Affiliate links for similar pieces below along with affiliate links for more rash guards.

Swim Tunic
Another one of my modest swimwear ideas: a swim tunic. I got this one at the end of last summer, also from Athleta, but they didn’t make it again this season. I have linked a similar one below. The leggings are the same as I have on above.

Swim Bottoms
Swim leggings are the best option for swim bottoms. If you prefer more coverage, a swim skirt is a good idea. Affiliate links for swim bottoms below.
More Modest Swimwear Ideas
I recently heard that Summersalt has released some modest swimwear pieces. I checked them out online and they’re really cute! Coolibar is another brand many have recommended. I love that American brands are recognizing the need for modest swimwear options. What are some of your favorite modest swimwear brands?
Loving the blue printed on you!
Thanks! I’m trying Athleta out for the first time and I really like the quality of it.
