So we are finally in a place socially where we are emerging from our home and interacting with people. It’s more school pickups and backyard hangouts, but enough that sweats aren’t going to cut it anymore. Cue the Target run. Spring is the best time to shop for modest warm weather clothes. The items tend to have longer hems and sleeves. As it gets hotter, sleeves get shorter and disappear altogether. So PSA, stock up on these modest spring pieces at Target, or really anywhere else.
Floral Wrap Maxi Skirt
Wrap skirts can sometimes be tricky because they don’t wrap far enough around and you end up unintentionally flashing some leg. Luckily this one goes around the front completely so your legs stay covered, even when seated. I paired this floral wrap maxi skirt (affiliate link) with an old chambray shirt and some beaded sandals I bought from a market in Cape Town. Long Sleeve Gingham Top
Ginghams is always a go for spring. I loved this top in particular because of the darling collar. It’s lightweight, and not see through, also a plus. Affiliate link for exact top and shoes and similar jeans below.
Ruffle Maxi Skirt
Another target maxi skirt, this a solid blush color. I dressed it up with this puff sleeve top and some dressier flats, but it can very easily be worn with a t-shirt and slides for a more casual look too. Affiliate links for same skirt and similar top and shoes below.
Pastel Pants and Puff Sleeves
My go to pastels are pink and blue, but there was something about these pants that were calling my name. The minty green is more neutral than I expected and can go with a variety of colors. This eyelet puff sleeve top is equally great. Lightweight cotton, and lined so I don’t have to wear any extra layers underneath. Yay! Affiliate links for exact top and pants below and similar shoes.
There are lots more modest spring pieces at Target, including some fabulous dresses from their designer collaboration. Stay tuned for blog post about those!
