One of the great things about being a fashion blogger is that you get to attend some really cool events. Some of my favorites are runway shows. Dubai Modest Fashion Week was my first. In November I had the opportunity to attend Fashion for Good Houston, a runway show highlighting some really cool designers. There were about 15 designers there, all of them very talented and most of them from Texas. These were my three favorites from Fashion for Good – their pieces were beautifully made and they had quite a few modest pieces in their collections. All images courtesy of Linn Images.
David Peck of Houston
David Peck is a designer based right here in Houston. His collection ranges from knitwear to evening gowns, he even does custom wedding gowns. I loved his collection in particular because he has some beautiful, modest evening gowns. Below are some of my favorites.

Any Old Iron
The theme for the show was Celebrate Texas. Though Any Old Iron is based in Nashville, the aesthetic of his pieces fit right in. Gorgeously embellished suits were my favorites in the collection, and probably my favorites from Fashion for Good Houston overall.

Korto Momolu
The name may sound familiar to you, Korto Momolu was on Project Runway season 5. I liked how she mixed traditional, ethnic prints with more casual wear.
